| SPD

Surfactant-associated protein D (SPD) is a lung surfactant protein belonging to the collagen family known as collectin.It is encoded by the SFTPD gene and is part of the innate immune system. Each SP-D subunit consists of an N-terminal structural domain, a collagen region, a nucleation neck region and a C-terminal lectin structural domain. Three of these subunits combine to form a homotrimer, which further combines to form a tetrameric complex. It has been shown to interact with DMBT1 and the hemagglutinin of influenza A virus.

| Recovery

The recovery of Mouse SPD spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.

| Linearity

Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Mouse SPD and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.
